Kray Van Kirk recorded two albums at Humboldt Records. The first, "The Captian and The Lady", was released in 1991. The second, "Contrary Visions", was released in 1994. Both were engineered and mixed by Robby Jarvis Lamoreux. Not only an excellent writer of ballads, Van Kirk is also an accomplished guitarist and vocalist. The combination of intelligence mixed with sensitivity produces music with depth of emotion, sometimes seeing opposites simultaneously. The title and liner notes to his second album "Contrary visions" is evidence of the above.

This song, "Shores Of Wales", is from the album "Contrary Visions" and is a good example of Van Kirk's skill in composing ballads. Kray Van Kirk, vocal, guitar, bass; Sam McNeil, violin; Ted Hohs, bodhran.
