"George Wolfington" was a conscious departure from the previous paintings of the 1990's in one aspect, color. Before stroke one of the brush the decision was made to attempt to use green. Working in a Redwood rain forest where the use of green is so perfectly varied and abundant makes one pause before reaching for that pot of pigment yet the results were very satisfying. |
