Psyche Split

"Psyche Split" is the only painting derived from a finished drawing. The drawing was in a sketch book done in pencil. In the process of enlarging the composition without the aid of a grid or projector, lessons were learned about negative space that have served well and lasted a lifetime. The patterns in red and blue were the inspirations for starting the large canvas "New York Vibes" in solid bright red and only painting the image with blue.
