Hallelujah Herb was written in the early 1970's. It was a much more innocent time in the history of marijuana cultivation in Northern California. Growing indoors, clones, home invasion and cartels had not invaded the counter culture. Discriminating against male plants was in it's infancy. Hallelujah Herb is a light hearted song playing on the dual interpretation of the word "herb" and the man's name "Herb". It was featured in the independent film "Marijuana Man" recorded by the band Airhead. This version was recorded in 2014 with Jarvis Lamoreux, vocals, guitars, keyboards; Marley Jarvis, vocals; Brian Hennesy, bass.
